FASNating NewsTwice a year, the Florida Association of School Nurses produces a newsletter, FASNating News, for its members. The purpose of the newsletter is to educate our members on topics used in their school nursing practice. We feature articles written by our scholarship winners. The articles cover topics presented at the state or national conference. Other articles are written by our professional colleagues, such as the Florida Dental Association, the Narcolepsy Foundation or Florida Shots. These give the school nurses additional information they can use or resources they can refer parents to. Some upcoming events are referenced in the newsletter, but the web site will have more current information. Because school nurses must have a wide range of knowledge in all areas of medical care, as many articles as possible are included in the newsletter. As a result, many of the articles only have an abstract in the newsletter. The full articles can be found here on the website. They are in the addendum, More FASNating News. Some of the speakers from our previous state and national conferences were gracious enough to allow us to reproduce their related Adobe® Power Point presentations and documentation.
